Cuba Photography Workshop

Purpose: To provide a "once in a lifetime" opportunity for SIUE alumni, students, faculty, and the greater St. Louis community to explore Cuba in a photographers' perspective that includes: o Meetings with professional Cuban photographers. o Bus and walking tours of Old and Modern Havana, including the Castillo de la Real Fuerza, the oldest extant colonial fortress in the Americas. o Travel to Hemingway´s picturesque fishing town of Cojimar. o Travel to the town of Regla and see the Church of the Black Virgin. o Travel to the countryside of Pinar del Rio, with its unusual rounded limestone mountains strung along flat plains. o Visit to the Fototeca, the Cuban Photo Archives. o Exploring the nightlife of Havana.
