Gardening Series: Preserving the Harvest

Enjoying fresh, local fruits and vegetables packed with peak flavor is a summertime tradition for many of us. Join us for a hands-on cooking class where we will discuss and demonstrate tried and true food preservation techniques. Learn the basics of canning, freezing, and dehydration so that you can bring the summer harvest to the table for family and friends any time of year! Please arrive prepared to work in small groups handling fresh produce and practicing preservation techniques in the kitchen. Each participant will take home recipes and delicious products prepared in class. Register early; space is limited! Space provided courtesy of the Edwardsville Community Unit School District #7.
